Bespoke 1-2-1 (or small 2-3 group of friends) Tuition

"Just a wee note to say thanks very much for the day out today - it was thoroughly enjoyable, and I certainly learned a couple of things that I'm sure will be put to good use going forward. It genuinely was a pleasure and a useful day." A. D., Falkirk

Workshops are based around the concept of bespoke 1-2-1 tuition. If you would like to spend some time working on specific areas, then a 1-2-1 workshop may be exactly what you need. It allows me to tailor the course so that we can cover all the areas with which you require help or advice, meaning you get the absolute maximum benefit from the time.

Once I find out about your experience and knowledge, the gear you use, the areas you wish to improve, I can tailor an itinerary just for you.

I won’t bamboozle you with technical jargon or speak. There are gaps in my own technical knowledge and this is more about helping you achieve a more artistic finished result. So if you’re new to photography or have been doing it for a while but you want to improve, without feeling intimidated by an ‘expert’, then this is the course for you.

Bespoke photography workshop and course

You might just want to discover some great new locations and get a bit of help with colour or composition. Whatever it is, please do get in touch and I’ll be delighted to help. We can also dedicate some of the time to post processing, a vital part of digital photography.

If you have a specific location in mind, as long as I know it well I'll be happy to organise a day there for you. I am based in Glasgow and know Ayrshire, the Central Belt, Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park and through Argyll on to Glen Coe fairly well. Have a look at my Portfolio for ideas.

Alternatively I can come to you if you’d prefer something simpler. Or I can suggest locations based on the time of year, tides, seasons etc. Bear in mind, if you wish to meet at the weekend, some spots can be very busy - with tourists and other photographers.

The fee covers the first 50 miles of travel to/from my home in central Glasgow. For longer distances, it is an extra 15p per mile for any travel over and above 50 miles.

Half Day’s Tuition - £120

Full Day’s Tuition - £220

Gift Vouchers are also available. You can either book a specific date & location or leave it open and the recipient can book a workshop of their choice once they receive the voucher.

Prices include all tuition but do not include food & drinks or transport to or from the meeting point.

If you don’t like dogs, please say beforehand. Otherwise Ozzie will be joining us too.

I do not make any images of my own during the workshops. You're paying me to tutor you, so you get 100% of my attention throughout the session.

I do not expect you to know your own camera settings inside out, but I do expect you to know the basics of how to use it and how to change settings, as every camera is different.
